Furnaces & Heat Pumps Installation & Repair

Furnace comes from a Greek word for "oven". Today's furnaces are metal boxes that create and contain heat that can melt stones (yes, they're that hot). Many modern furnaces run on natural gas, others on electricity. The heat generated creates high amounts of heat which is then fed through a ventilation system throughout a small house or the largest building. Small furnaces are attached to boilers to provide hot water. These units are more efficient than traditional water heaters.

Should I Repair or Replace My HVAC?

  • Age - If your furnace is more than 15 years old and isn't working right (or at all), it may be in your best interest of consider a replacement.
  • Investment cost - if your heat pump's repair will cost 50% or more than buying a new one, replacement would be a better choice. Don't forget many manufacturers offer deals and your local energy company (or government) may also offer incentives to buy a new unit.
